Vintage Ilona Swiss Dbl Time Zone GP Travel Watch

unique man's gold-plated watch. Manufactured by the Ilona Company, this watch features two (2) dials for double time zone identification including the date in each different zone. The top dial is silver with gold-outlined black characters and is printed with "ILONA, 17 JEWELS, LOCAL TIME". The bottom dial is black with gold-outlined silver characters and is printed with "ILONA, 17 JEWELS, HOME TIME". Both dials feature date markers on the right hand side of the watch. The dials are both encased in a rectangular gold-plated casing that may or may not have originally had a backing to it. Each dial snaps out of the casing and can be carefully opened to reveal the inner workings. The back of the dials each read "SWISS MADE, base metal" with a circular symbol in between. The inside of the backing to each dial is stamped "Michael Z. Berser, SWISS". Each of the inside of the dials are stamped with "SWISS" and "17 JEWELS" in small print. The band of the watch is also gold-plated and of a woven design with a slide-and-hinged closure.

CONDITION: This wonderful watch is in good condition. There is overall tiny surface scratching to the casing of the dials, as well as slight rubbing on the edges. The dial lenses are slightly scratched and there is a tiny faded spot on the back of the band.

MEASUREMENTS: The face of the watch is 2" long X 1" wide and approximately 1/4" high. The entire watch measures 9 1/2" from end to end.
